Christmas is not just a story we remember it's a divine encounter we're invited to live. 

This series reveals how God's redemptive plan unfolds through the lives of ordinary people, and the series shows how God accomplishes extraordinary things through the faith-filled obedience of everyday individuals like Mary and Joseph. 

John 1:1-5, 9-14 reveals the Miracle of the Manger the eternal Word becoming human, demonstrating God's humility and His choice to dwell among us. 

Galatians 4:4 highlights the Miracle of the Moment showing that at just the right time, God sent His Son to redeem the world. 

And Hebrews 1:1-3 proclaims the Miracle of the Message that in these final days, God has spoken clearly and completely through Jesus, the exact representation of His nature and His glory.

Together, these scriptures remind us that Christmas is far more than a memory of the past it's an invitation to encounter God's presence and purpose today. 

The same God who sent His Son into the world still moves through those who trust His ways, embrace His nearness, wait on His timing and live out His truth. 

This is the heart of Christmas: Emmanuel God with us, now and always.

Christmas is more than a season of lights, gifts, and festivities it is the divine story of God entering human history. In this series, we will rediscover the wonder, joy, and hope that come to us through the birth of Jesus Christ. 

Each message will help us experience not just observe the miracle of Christmas: God with us, God for us, and God in us.

Through the eyes of those who first witnessed the miracle Mary, Joseph, the shepherds, the wise men, and others we'll learn how to encounter Christ anew in our daily lives.

Week One and Birthday Sunday

Topic: Experiencing the Miracle of the Method

Verses: Luke 1:38; Matthew 1:24

The wonder of God's ways is powerfully revealed through the obedience of Mary and Joseph. In Luke 1:38, Mary responds with quiet surrender: "Let it be to me according to your word." Her words reflect a heart fully submitted to God's plan, and the Greek word doulē meaning "servant" shows her posture of complete devotion and willingness to follow divine authority. Similarly, in Matthew 1:24, Joseph's immediate response "He did as the angel commanded him" shows his readiness to act in faith, even when the path ahead was unclear.

these God's methods often challenge human understanding. A virgin birth, a message delivered by an angel, and the faithful obedience of a humble carpenter elements defy logic, yet they became the foundation of God's redemptive work. Through this, we learn that the miraculous often begins not with certainty, but with trust. When we choose to obey God's leading, even when it seems illogical or uncomfortable, we open the door for His extraordinary plans to unfold.

Experiencing the Method of Christmas means:

God's method is often unexpected.

God's method requires our obedience, which leads to miracles.

God's method uses ordinary people with extraordinary purpose.

God's method leads to redemption.

Topic: Experiencing the Miracle of the Manger

Verses: John 1:1-5, 9-14

John 1:1 begins with a bold affirmation of Christ's divine nature: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." The Greek term Logos, translated as "Word," signifies God's revelation of Himself His voice, His truth, His very essence made known.

Then in verse 14, we encounter a breathtaking truth: "The Word became flesh and dwelt among us." The word eskēnösen, meaning "dwelt," literally translates to "pitched His tent, echoing the Old Testament tabernacle where God's presence dwelt among His people. But now, through Jesus, God's dwelling place is no longer confined to buildings or rituals; He chooses to live within human hearts. The manger, a place of humility and simplicity, becomes a symbol of divine humility. It reminds us that God doesn't wait for us to be perfect He meets us in our ordinary, messy places. The miracle of Christmas is that heaven came down to earth, not in grandeur, but in grace.

Topic: Experiencing the Miracle of the Moment

Verse: Galatians 4:4

The miracle of the moment highlights God's flawless timing both in the course of history and in our personal lives. Galatians 4:4 declares, "When the fullness of time had come, God sent forth His Son." The Greek phrase plērōma tou chronou refers to the whole or appointed time, indicating that God's actions are never delayed.

Historically, the conditions were perfectly aligned for the arrival of the Gospel: a common language (Greek), Roman peace and infrastructure, and a deep spiritual longing among the Jewish people. Theologically, this affirms that God fulfills His promises when the time is right. Likewise, in our own lives, seasons of waiting are not meaningless they are part of God's preparation for His purpose to be revealed at just the right moment.

God's timing is always perfect.

Christ's coming has redefined time.

God's salvation is available today.

Topic: Experiencing the Miracle of the Message

Verses: Hebrews 1:1-3

The miracle of the message lies in God's ultimate revelation through His Son, Jesus Christ. Hebrews 1:1-3 highlights the shift from how God previously spoke through various prophets and methods to how He now speaks directly through His Son. The Greek term charakter, meaning "exact imprint," reveals that Jesus is the perfect representation of God's nature.

delivered In the Old Testament, God's revelations were partial and scattered through visions, commandments, and prophetic voices. But in Jesus, the message is

whole and deeply personal. He is not just a bearer of God's Word; He is the Word made flesh (John 1:14). Through Him, God proclaims grace, truth, and the promise of redemption to all who believe.

The message was spoken through His Son.

The message is grace and the truth alone.

The message brings transformation.

Redeeming Dominion

I am gathering ideas and thoughts relating to MAN'S initial and radical CALLING since the CREATION of him/her .... 

THUS stewardship, governance, obedience, fruitfulness and multiplication are a part of such.

These articles below are BORROWED and will be the guiding thoughts as I see Genesis 1:26-28 applied, lived out, taught and manifested while people are ON EARTH :-)

Redeeming DOMINION in a Fallen World

Now, I’m not a rabid environmentalist, so don’t hear me saying “dominion is all about how we treat the environment.” It involves how we interact with the world around us, but it’s more than that. Dominion touches every part of our being. And despite our fallen state, God has not removed the charge to rule over the earth from humanity. Therefore, we must consider how to use the authority God has given us to bring Him glory. 

Here are three suggestions loosely based on Genesis 1:28:

1. Consume Responsibly. 

I have a confession: I hate recycling. I live in a townhouse complex that’s out of the 1970s, one without a recycling program and it’s great! Honestly, it’s not so much recycling as the propaganda surrounding it. While I’m skeptical that a styrofoam cup in a landfill will still exist in 15,000 years, I’m all for being responsible as a consumer. Don’t buy more than you need. Buy things that last. Just because you can be conspicuous in your consumption doesn’t mean you should be.

2. Work with Excellence. 

While few of us are in positions of great authority, we are all responsible for carrying out the work we’ve been given with excellence. Do your work well, respect your employers, remembering that “your are serving the Lord Jesus Christ,” not men (Colossians 3:24).

3. Multiply Spiritually and Biologically. 

Some of you might cringe reading that, but looking at the context of God’s command to have dominion over the earth, it’s connected to our multiplying and filling the earth. While having children isn’t necessarily a mandate in the same way it was for Adam and Eve, having children is a way in which we can exercise dominion over the earth. We are bringing new life into the world. That’s a big deal.

Likewise, perhaps even more importantly, we need to be focused on spiritual multiplication. 

While biological multiplication is common to all humanity, only Christians can multiply spiritually. 

We have been given the role as Ambassadors of Jesus Christ with the responsibility of sharing the news of Jesus’ sin-defeating death and resurrection with the world. We are to make disciples of all nations. This is the greatest way in which we can exercise dominion over the earth in that we’re using the authority given to us by Christ for the express purpose of seeing the lost become found.

Those are some of the ways in which we can and should continue to exercise dominion in the fallen world as redeemed people. God has removed this responsibility from us, so let’s make use of every opportunity we have to give Him glory.

"Taking dominion as a servant of God" is a core biblical principle that redefines authority as servant leadership and responsible stewardship. It involves exercising God-given authority in the world through humility, care, and service to others, rather than through domination or selfish gain. 

The Biblical Foundation: Dominion and Stewardship

The concept originates in Genesis 1:26-28, where God gives humanity the mandate to "have dominion" and "subdue" the earth. This is not a license for exploitation but a call to act as God's representatives, or vice-regents, on Earth. 

Key aspects of this mandate include:

Imaging Divine Dominion: Human rule is meant to reflect God's rule, which is characterized by love, care, preservation, and fostering life and harmony within creation.

Stewardship: Believers are caretakers of God's creation, responsible for managing the earth's resources and environment with wisdom and compassion.

Authority Over Circumstances, Not People: This dominion grants authority over spiritual and worldly challenges (e.g., sin, fear, sickness) but explicitly warns against "lording it over" other people. 

The Servant Model of Leadership

Jesus Christ modeled the pathway to dominion through servanthood and humility. As Jesus said, "whoever would be great among you must be your servant" (Matthew 20:26). 

This is practiced through:

Humility: Pride can prevent a person from accessing their God-given authority; humility and a willingness to serve are the keys to rising into a position of influence.

Meeting Needs: Serving God involves meeting the spiritual and temporal needs of those around you, reflecting Christ's own actions.

Focus on the Kingdom: The primary goal is to do what is beneficial for God's kingdom, not for personal ambition or self-aggrandizement. 

Practical Ways to Exercise Dominion

Taking dominion as a servant of God can be applied in various areas of life: 

In Your Vocation: Work with excellence and diligence, seeing your job as a form of service to the Lord, which validates all noble human endeavors.

Over Personal Life: Exercise self-control and dominion over sin, habits, desires, and emotions by aligning your mind with God's Word through prayer and study.

In Your Community/Family: Lead your family in their faith journey, extend hospitality, and look for opportunities to help others fulfill their visions and dreams.

Through Spiritual Authority: Use the authority given to all believers in Christ through prayer and speaking God's Word to overcome challenges and spiritual strongholds. 

In essence, "taking dominion as a servant of God" means living a life of responsible, loving, and humble influence, reflecting God's character and advancing His purposes in the world.

The Nature of the Kingdom. 

The kingdom of God (or heaven) carries the idea of God coming into the world to assert his power, glory and rights against Satan's dominion and the present course of this world. 

It is more than salvation or the church, it is God expressing himself power-fully in all his works

(1) 

The kingdom is primarily an assertion of God's power in action, God is beginning his spiritual rule on earth in the hearts of and among his people (in 14:23:20:22). He comes into the world with power (Isa 64-1; Mk 9:1; 1Co-4.20) We must not conceive of this power as material or political, but as spiritual. The kingdom is not a religio-political theocracy it is not a matter of social or political dominion over the kingdoms of this world (In 18:36). God does not intend this time to redeem and reform the world through social or political activism, or through violent ....

"But if I drive out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon γου."

.... action (Mt 26:52; see In 18.36, note) The world through out this age will remain an enemy of God and his people (Jn 15:19; Ro 12:1-2; Jas 4:4; 1Jn 2:15-17, 4:4). God's rule by direct judgment and force will occur only at the end of this age (Rev 19:11-21). 

(2) 

Because God asserts himself with power, the world enters into a crisis. God's expression of power fills the devil's empire with alarm (Mt 4:3ff, 12:29, Mk 1:24), and everyone is copfrorited with the decision whether or not to submit to God'sirule (Mt 3:1-2: 4.17: Mk 1:14-15). The necessary and fundamental condition of entry into God's kingdom is, "Repent and believe the good news" (Mk 1:15)

(3) 

This reality of God's power breaking into the world involves: (a) spiritual authority over Satan's rule and dominion (Mt 12:28; In 18:36), the coming of the kingdom marks the beginning of the destruction of Satan's rule (Jn 12:31, 16:11) and of humanity's deliverance from the demonic (Mk 1:34,39; 3:14-15, Ac 26:18) and from sin (Ro 6); (b) power to work miracles and to heal the sick (Mt 4:23, 9:35; Ac 4:30; 8:7; see article on Divine Healing, p. 1436); (c) the preaching of the gospel, accompanied by conviction with regard to sin, righteousness and judg ment (Mt 11:5, Jn 16:8-11; Ac 4:33), (d) the salvation and sanctification of those who repent and believe the gospel (see Jn 3:3; 17:17, Ac 2:38-40; 200 6:14-18, see article on Spiritual Separation for Believers, p. 1821); and (e) the baptism in the Holy Spirit for power to witness for Christ (see Ac 1:8, notes: 2:4, notes).

(4) 

An essential evidence that one is experiencing God's kingdom is a life of "righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit" (Ro 14:17). (5) This kingdom has both a present and a future aspect. It is a present reality in the world today (Mk 1:15: Lk 18:16-17; Col 1:13; Heb 12:28), yet God's rule and power are not complete ly realized. The work and influence of Satan and evil people will continue until the end of the age (1Ti 4:1; 271 3:1-5; Rev 19:19-20:10). The future manifestation of God's glory, power and kingdom will occur when Jesus returns to judge the world (Mt 24:30; Lk 21:27: Rev 19.11-20 20:1-6). The ultimate fulfillment of the kingdom comes when Christ finally triumphs over all evil and opposition, and hands over the kingdom to God the Father (1Co 15:24-28; Rev 20:7-21:8; see also Mk 1:15, note concerning the various manifestations of the kingdom in redemp tive history)

MATTHEW

(1) it is the responsibility of believers to persevere in Billigently seeking God's kingdom in all manifestations, hungering and thirsting for God's presence and power both in their own lives and within the Christian community (see Mt 5:10, notes, 6:33, note)

(2) In Mt. 11:12 Jesus gives additional information on the nature of kingdom people. There he indicates that the kingdom of heaven is taken hold of only by forceful people who are com mitted to breaking away from the sinful practices of the human race and who turn to Christ, his Word and his righteous ways. No matter what the cost may be, such people vigorously seek the kingdom in all its power. In other words, experiencing the kingdom of heaven with all its bless ings tequires earnest endeavor and diligent faith, spiritual warfare that includes the will to re sist Satan, sin and an often-corrupt society

(3) The kingdom of God is not for those wholseldom pray or who compromise with the neglect the Word and have little spiritual hunger. It is for men like Joseph (Ge 39:9), Nathan (25a 12:7), Elijah (1Ki 18:21), Daniel and his three friends (Da 1:8, 3:16-18), Mordecai (Est 3:4-5), Peter and John (Ac 4:19-20), Stephen (Ac 6:8, 7:51) and Paul (Php 3:13-14), it is for women like Deborah (Jdg 4:9), Ruth (Ru 1:16-18), Esther (Est 4:16), Mary (Lk 1:26-35), Anna (Lk 2:36-38) and Lydia (Ac 16:14-15,40)

Their roots can be traced to the second century BC to the Hasidim.

1. Along with the Torah, they accepted as equally inspired and authoritative all material contained within the oral tradition.

2. On free will and determination, they held to a mediating view that made it impossible for either free will or the sovereignty of God to cancel out the other.

3. They accepted a rather developed hierarchy of angels and demons

4. They taught that there was a future for the dead.

5. They believed in the immortality of the soul and in reward and retribution after death.

6. They were champions of human equality.

7. The emphasis of their teaching was ethical rather than theological.

Sadducees

They probably had their beginning during the Hasmonean period (166-63 8.c.). Their demise occurred c. A.D. 70 with the fall of Jerusalem

1. They denied that the oral law was authoritative and binding.

2. They interpreted Mosaic law more literally than did the Pharisees.

3. They were very exacting in Levitical purity.

4. They attributed all to free will.

5. They argued there is neither resurrection of the dead nor a future life.

6. They rejected a belief in angels and demons.

7. They rejected the idea of a spiritual world.

8. Only the books of Moses were canonical Scriptures

It Takes Power to Extend 

the Kingdom

The kingdom of God, of heaven, of Messiah is a great Bible theme that was proclaimed by Old Testament prophets and repeatedly mentioned by Christ in the Gospels. 

God is our Sovereign King. His reign in our hearts today and in the world until the return of Jesus is His saving kingdom. It is built through human hands but not by human hands. It is built by the power of God working through the cooperating joint ministry of the Holy Spirit and the Spirit-filled.

"The kingdom of God never means an action undertaken by men or a realm which they set up the kingdom is a divine act, not a human accomplishment, not even the accomplishment of dedicated Christians." 

The power of the kingdom is operative in and through God's representatives. But the power is not their power; it is the power of God. Christ gives to His own the keys of the kingdom to use in binding and loosing through prayer and obedience (Matt. 16:19; 18:18-20). But the power of the keys remains God's power and is usable only by the Spirit's guidance and enabling.

Kingdom power was present in the ministry of Jesus, and it was present in the ministry of His followers. Indeed, it can be present in your ministry today. But it is not your power. It continues to be given and manifested through you only as God makes it operative and evident.

Our best efforts of themselves do not build or advance the kingdom. Christian efforts are not sufficient. Even the best endeavor of the Spirit-filled is totally inadequate. Nothing less than the Holy Spirit guiding, empowering, and using the efforts of the Spirit-filled can extend Christ's reign in any heart or in any group. The extent to which God can use the influence, witness, and service of a holy people is governed by the extent to which He sovereignly empowers and works through them.

POWER

Purity and power are closely associated, but they are not identical. We need both. God wills both for us. They are essential in our living. They are even more essential in our service. 

Purity can be beautiful and positive, or it can be largely negative. 

Purity can be retained, power must be renewed.

Purity in the form of positive goodness and righteousness is the result of power to be what God wants us to be. God wants to give us the Spirit's power both to be and to do what He has called us to be and do. 

Purity pertains to living, power specially to service.

The spiritual measure of Christian leaders is the fullness of the Spirit and His endowment of power. 

Oratory, effectiveness of delivery, and speech are good, but they are not enough. Content, orthodoxy, and solid biblical truth are essential, but they are not enough. Personality, graciousness of speech and action are important, but they are not enough. The power of the Lord must be upon them. All these qualities can exist on the human level. 

The kingdom must be built, advanced, and manifest on the level of the divine empowering of the human. It must be God working through us.

When some in Corinth began to criticize Paul and his ministry judgmentally, it did not concern Paul greatly. The apostle regarded the Lord as his judge (1 Cor. 4:4). Only God knows the measure of His power working within us. Paul makes it very clear: "The kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power" (v. 20). Paul said he would come to Corinth and check both the words and the power of those who were creating confusion. Truth is essential, but in Christ's service it must be truth on fire. Truth without power does not accomplish the will or work of God. It may only deaden or offend.

By the presence or absence of God's power in their lives and ministry, Paul wanted the Corinthians to evaluate the credentials of Christian leaders who came among them. How would you have passed Paul's scrutiny and inspection? In 2 Corinthians 6 Paul gave a list of many ways in which he commended himself as a servant of God. Important among them was ministry "in the Spirit" and "in the power of God" (vv. 6-7).

Paul reminded the Thessalonian church, "Our gospel came to you not simply with words, but also with power, with the Holy Spirit and with deep conviction. You know how we lived among you for your sake" (1 Thess. 1:5). Paul was deeply conscious that the power of God was at work. The Christian leader is usually aware when God's power is specially present. Are you frequently aware of this in your ministry? It was normal to Paul.

The true triumph of nations is not in power or wealth but in the joy that comes from God's righteous and just rule. When God reigns, nations rejoice and find lasting peace.

Focus: Thanksgiving is a testimony to the world. When we give thanks, it reflects God's provision and points others to His faithfulness. Our gratitude becomes a witness to the nations.

"May God bless us still, so that all the ends of the earth will fear him."

Thanksgiving Sunday culminates in united praise and giving. As we bring our thanksgiving gifts, we do so together believing God will use them to make His name known "to the ends of the earth."

2 Corinthians 9:11 - "You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on every occasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God."

A sample of our LAOS Short Missions Trip Prayer Updates Day # 5:

Good day! 

God is so good for the past 5 days that we are here in Laos. 

Last time we had our engagements and evangelism in the park of Laos near the Mekong River which is connected to 5 countries (Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar). 

We had a total of 17 engagements so far today, 12 Lao locals and 5 Chinese students. 

Laos country has been strongly influenced by China and its beliefs (communist country). 

Praise God that in spite of the challenges here in Laos we engaged with them and one of the Local Lao students received Jesus as her Lord and Savior. HalleluYah 🙌 🙌 🙌 Praying for more students to engage next week and build relationships to share our faith and the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. 

Yesterday we joined as well in Every Nation Church here (underground church) we had our interview of their Pastors and Campus Missionaries about how they engaged, strategized and evangelized the locals here. 

Today, it's our TOUR DAY and FREE DAY, we will be continuing learning their culture, ways and beliefs so that we can engage more effectively. HalleluYah 🔥

PRAYER ITEMS for today:

PRAY for the power of the Holy Spirit that will continuously work upon the hearts of those we engaged and share God's goodness and Gospel.

PRAY for God's divine appointments and encounters for the Local Lao people that we will be ministering.

PRAY for the team Laos missionaries for God's covering and protection as we have our tour today and continuously engage the people of Lao.
