The PRE brings success to the EN ... what?

What am I referring to?

I'm referring to our PRE-ENCOUNTER** Parties!
- yes ...
- it has to be a party!  fun, food, fellowship

- it has to be with a purpose.  THAT is the formation of people.

===============
ok REVIEW ...
our Pre-Encounter** PARTIES must have these "F's"

  • FUN
  • FOOD
  • FELLOWSHIP
  • FORMATION
===============

FUN ...
  • - the meeting must be light, uplifting, encouraging and full of sounds, sights and colors!

FOOD
  • - the meeting must be refreshing and filling and worth going to ... because of excellent food.

FELLOWSHIP
  • - they must come with friends, and people with similar interests for them to have meaningful "fellowships"

FORMATION
  • - this must be with GREAT CONTENT.  Therefore use the "ONE2ONE Booklet" or the "CROSS OVER Lessons of Pastor JR".  Or the one below ... here's the link PRE ENCOUNTER MATERIALS FOR DOWNLOAD

HOW TO PLAN FOR A GREAT PARTY ???

  • 1Pick a suitable theme. Consider the age, gender, interests and hobbies of the guests coming! Then choose a theme that suits them perfectly!
  • 2Pick a place. Where are you going to have a party? Will it be a big event, or a little get together? This will help you decide.
  • 3Determine a date/time for your party.
  • 4Decide on a budget. Are you able to spend a lot of money on this that kind of party.
  • 5Take into consideration who it is you want to invite to your party. Not everyone wants to dance, not everyone wants to listen to the music, some people want to talk and relax. Accommodate for different interests and levels of social comfort with space planning if it is possible, and if applicable, different age groups.
  • 6Start picking the people. Only invite guests that you want. Invite people you would like to get to know better, and if you want your party to be big, tell them to bring their friends. Get as accurate a count as you can before the party so as to make certain you have the space, parking, food and drinks to accommodate.
  • 7Make invitations or buy them. Pass them out within a reasonable time frame of notice. If you plan on instructing your invitees to bring friends, don't send out the invitations too soon or you could end up with a bigger party population than you can handle.
  • 8Determine what food to provide. Your food choice packs a big punch in your party. If you don't know what to get, ask around to see what your future party-attendees would like. Do not neglect drinks (juices) or chilled storage for these drinks.
  • 9What's a party without music? Pick music that you think will be most agreeable to the spirit of your party and your guests. It's a good idea to have an iTunes window open on your computer so you can download tunes that guests suggest. If you don't have the money for iTunes and don't have a lot of your own tunes, ask your guests to bring their own. You could also play a radio station that has whatever is hot, and call in with requests! (use appropriately as believers of Jesus).
  • 10Set the mood/tone of the party with your music, lighting, decoration and attire. If you want to have an energetic dance environment, have music, strobe lights, lasers, fog machines and maybe some video synchronized with your music.
  • 11Clean your house and clean yourself. Nobody likes a dirty party. It's a good idea to have some cleaning stuff around, and stain stick just in case someone spills on themselves or your furniture. Make sure there is enough toilet paper! OR TRAPO. It may sound weird, but you don't want the only memory of your party to be an empty tube, and you really don't want someone you may not know using your hand towels.
  • 12Have some party games set up. This does not mean what it used to with pin the tail on the donkey or spin the bottle. Some games of everything as players deal with divorced parents, mediocre jobs/income, and marriage. It can be a real laugh.
  • 13Have plans to address rules and guest safety.
  • 14Make sure you have a good time and enjoy it.
  • 15Don't forget and compromise the FORMATION time!  Have Dramas, Skits, and etc to present the CONTENT of the Formation Teaching.
  • 16Don't forget to LET PEOPLE have a chance to Enroll in the coming ENCOUNTER DATES!

**PRE ENCOUNTER

The Pre-Encounter consists of four lessons designed to prepare the new believer for the Encounter Weekend. The Pre-Encounter is essential for the new believer to receive maximum impact and value at the Encounter Weekend. The four lessons will walk the new believer through the basics of the Christian faith, covering topics such as the new birth, our salvation, the power of Scriptures and the principles of deliverance.

The Equipping Track and it’s Purpose
1. The first purpose of Pre-Encounter is to verify the salvation of the new convert.  Many do not understand the born-again experience and must be taught the truths of salvation of grace through faith.  Every person that is going on an Encounter needs to have settled the issue of salvation to be ready to receive from the Lord.
2. A second purpose is to build the faith of the individuals to receive from the Lord on the Encounter.
We must raise their level of expectation.
3. The third purpose is to begin to share with them a few details of what will take place on the Encounter
4. Lastly, Pre-Encounter helps them prepare mentally for a focused time with the Lord.

From the Word of God
Luke Chapter 15

New American Standard Bible

The Lost Sheep
1Now all the tax collectors and the sinners were coming near Him to listen to Him. 2Both the Pharisees and the scribes began to grumble, saying, “This man receives sinners and eats with them.”
3So He told them this parable, saying, 4“What man among you, if he has a hundred sheep and has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open pasture and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? 5“When he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. 6“And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ 7“I tell you that in the same way, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance.

The Lost Coin
8“Or what woman, if she has ten silver coins and loses one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? 9“When she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin which I had lost!’ 10“In the same way, I tell you, there is joy in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

The Prodigal Son
11And He said, “A man had two sons. 12“The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of the estate that falls to me.’ So he divided his wealth between them. 13“And not many days later, the younger son gathered everything together and went on a journey into a distant country, and there he squandered his estate with loose living. 14“Now when he had spent everything, a severe famine occurred in that country, and he began to be impoverished. 15“So he went and hired himself out to one of the citizens of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 16“And he would have gladly filled his stomach with the pods that the swine were eating, and no one was giving anything to him. 17“But when he came to his senses, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired men have more than enough bread, but I am dying here with hunger! 18‘I will get up and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight; 19I am no longer worthy to be called your son; make me as one of your hired men.”’ 20“So he got up and came to his father. But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion for him, and ran and embraced him and kissed him. 21“And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.’ 22“But the father said to his slaves, ‘Quickly bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet; 23and bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let us eat and celebrate; 24for this son of mine was dead and has come to life again; he was lost and has been found.’ And they began to celebrate.
25“Now his older son was in the field, and when he came and approached the house, he heard music and dancing. 26“And he summoned one of the servants and began inquiring what these things could be. 27“And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and your father has killed the fattened calf because he has received him back safe and sound.’ 28“But he became angry and was not willing to go in; and his father came out and began pleading with him. 29“But he answered and said to his father, ‘Look! For so many years I have been serving you and I have never neglected a command of yours; and yet you have never given me a young goat, so that I might celebrate with my friends; 30but when this son of yours came, who has devoured your wealth with prostitutes, you killed the fattened calf for him.’ 31“And he said to him, ‘Son, you have always been with me, and all that is mine is yours. 32‘But we had to celebrate and rejoice, for this brother of yours was dead and has begun to live, and was lost and has been found.’”

The Goal of the PARTY is Relationships BUILT ... toward the next step which is the ENCOUNTER.

If you need to do a One on One after the PARTY ... that would be an extra mile of LOVE and WANTING FRIENDSHIPS!
Who can resist it?

Do this with a genuine heart.
WIN ... THEN YOU WILL BOND THEM ...
