We here at HLM believe in Marriage.
In fact it was God's idea. And probably one of the greatest gifts of God to His people second only to REDEMPTION!
SIMPLE GUIDELINES

The Couple to be is encouraged to LIVE the Master, Mission, Mate LIFE.
This is all about the Absolute Lordship of Jesus Christ in your life. Remember that Jesus is our primary reason for living (see Romans 10:9; Col 2:8, 9).
Master, Mission, Mate means that our primary purpose for living is JESUS and His Glory (MASTER). Then honoring Him through serving other people using our gifts and talents (MATE). While the (MATE) is seen as a gift given by God to us.
Purity in Relationships as Youths and Singles must be top priority.
It would help not to go alone together all the time except for discussion and preparation for your marriage in the near future.
Romantic Intimacy must be saved for the wedding day and / or during engagement lime.
Take note: Any form of pre-marital sex is sin!

The Couple must be active Ministry Members.
Both of you must he convinced that servanthood within the local church is of primary importance.

The Couple should build a Home for the Glory of God
This must be your primary purpose of preparation, not just the wedding day — but the marriage for life. Although the wedding day is special and only once celebrated, all our efforts must be towards the building of a strong and glorifying marriage for God.
Always remember that Marriage is a covenant relationship BETWEEN MAN, WOMAN and GOD.
The Couple should receive their Parents' Blessings
The parents' blessing must be given by both parties (groom's and the bride's) unless and except for other valid reasons.

The Couple must attend the Pre-marital Counseling ENGAGEMENT CELL or OVER-NIGHT Retreat. Assigned work must be done cooperatively by the "couple" in the context of a “SMALL Group Discovery” time with other engaged couples. A time of openness with regards to the past and mutual understanding of differing personality traits must be part of the preparation.
(THERE WILL BE NO GROUP DISCUSSION) SESSIONS 1 AND 2 OF THE “MARRIAGE COURSE—DVD” IS RECOMMENDED and / or other endorsed Materials by the LTS.

The Couple’s intent for Marriage must be announced
Must be done publicly for blessing and prayer by the church.
Usually during the pre-marital preparation SMALL GROUP or a few days after the said Pre-marital Counseling. Announcement of Marriage is highly encouraged in the context of the church participation for prayer and joy.The person in charge of the Couples Ministry or FAMILY MINISTRIES of His Life Ministries or the Pastor must be informed of the said announcement.

The Couple will be the one to secure all necessary permits
They will apply for their Marriage License (Bacolod City Health); Venue of Choice Permit (Notarized then give to Secratary); and etc.

Filing of the MarriageContract
All papers given after theregistration of Marriage mustbe handed over tothe Church Secretary forfinalization and preparation.

Practice for theWedding Day
This must be with the peoplewith important roles on theWedding day.Done at least 2 or more daysbefore the scheduled weddingcelebration.

Christian Couples who have already physically consummated their marriage will forfeit a church wedding but the church recommends a “Civil Wedding” for such cases.Couples who have beendeprived of a ChristianWedding due to certain reasonsbefore they were born againwill he given the properwedding ceremony.Cases of divorce / legalseparation / re-marriages andetc. are referred to furthercounseling and guidance.Cases of “Common law” marriages and the like, will betaken into considerationaccording to the PhilippineFamily Code Guide.
