CROSSOVER Preparation and Formation Part 2



The CROSSOVER Teacher
1. Must be extremely familiar with the CROSSOVER type of ministry and material. Study and
prepare "yourself".
2. Do not "preach" or "lecture"; session must allow attendees to walk through their encounter,  inner healing, deliverance, etc.
3. Stay mindful of the time and stay within the allotted time as much as possible.
4. Know that you cannot teach everything about the subject in the 20--30 minutes time frame.
5. Direct Helpers as needed during the session and ministry time.
6. During ministry, insure that everyone is ministered to appropriately and individually. It is not
necessary to conduct ministry in "altar call" style. Attendees are usually asked to kneel and
pray where they are seated.

The Ministry Helpers
1. Be in an attitude of prayer and intercession for the attendees during the CROSSOVER.
2. Seek unity and teamwork with the other Team members, having a humble spirit and a servant
heart, always preferring one another.
3. Helpers are to follow direction of the Teacher during the CROSSOVER sessions. Teams are
sometimes formed to facilitate ministry to everyone; cannot be an spectator but a participator.
4. Must be committed to attend the entire CROSSOVER -- from the Team Preparation to Team DeBrief.
5. For first time helpers, their LIFEGROUP Leader must also be at the CROSSOVER WEEKEND and will be responsible for the first time helper.
6. If you are housing with the attendees, be ready:
- to minister to their needs
- to enforce curfew hours
- to maintain order in the facilities

The CROSSOVER Coordinator:
1. Work closely with the Leader/s of the CROSSOVER to:
- Define the CROSSOVER schedule
- Determine CROSSOVER materials (i.e. handouts, booklets) needed
- Identify any Special equipment needed
- Set-up schedule for Team meetings, CROSSROADS and CROSSLIFE STUDIES,
2. Coordinate activities from initial Team meetings, CROSSROADS to CROSSLIFE STUDIES.
3. Insure that all required materials and equipment are prepared and brought to the CROSSOVER WEEKEND site in advance prior to start of CROSSOVER.
(Please refer to the CROSSOVER Materials and Equipment Checklist).
4. Provide the Teachers their teaching materials (notes, tapes).
5. Assemble a team to register people at the church/es before and after scheduled regular services.
6. Update Excel database with information on the attendees of the CROSSOVER.
7. Prepare and distribute reminders for CROSSROADS and CROSSLIFE meetings.
8. Send reminders for preparation meetings to the CROSSOVER Team.
9. Make arrangements and submit all requirements to the FACILITY, CAMP or HOTEL VENUE  Director:
- final contract
- down payment
- payment of final balance due to the VENUE used
- liability insurance
10. Submit to the Accounting Department all monies received and all CROSSOVER expenses incurred for reimbursement.
11. Arrange/set-up all meetings: Team preparation meetings, CROSSROADS, CROSSLIFE STUDIES
12. Assemble and assign teams for the various tasks and responsibilities at the VENUE (i.e., setup,
registration, serve at mealtimes, loading and unloading of materials and equipment.

The MEDIA and Sound System Technicians:
1. Set-up and tear-down of MEDIA, sound systems for the men and women meetings which includes:
- microphones for speaker
- microphones for praise & worship team
- multi media gadgets and more
- cd and audio tape player/recorder
- audio recording for all the CROSSOVER sessions
- speakers
2. Insure that all of the required equipment are brought to the VENUE.
3. Make sure to document sessions and event then give to the CROSSOVER COORDINATOR.
4.  Work closely with Teachers and Praise & Worship team to insure proper volume during the
CROSSOVER sessions and for the recording (as needed).

All Team Members
1. Prepare to serve unconditionally.
2. Always promote and preserve unity in the Team.
3. Be present and prompt at all meetings and sessions: team meetings, prayer meetings, CROSSROADS and CROSSLIFE STUDIES.  Be the example.
4. Spend time with attendees during breaks and mealtimes; help with any questions or need.
5. Avoid counseling sessions. However, be considerate and a good listener and considerate
when attendees share their personal feelings and experiences.
6. Know the schedule for the CROSSROADS, the CROSSOVER and the CROSSLIFE STUDIES.
7. Encourage attendees to be at all the CROSSOVER sessions, including the CROSSROADS and
CROSSLIFE STUDIES (CrossROADS are done via ONE on ONE; while the CrossLIFE is done through their LIFEGROUP system)
