Blessed Families
Finding Joy in Obedience
2025 june Series
In this fast-paced, jam-packed, scheduled world of almost nonverbal communication caused by the misuse of technology in our daily lives, families may struggle to maintain harmony, instill values, and nurture strong relationships. Despite these challenges, returning to our spiritual roots becomes increasingly essential. The Bible's teachings and wisdom are invaluable for figuring out things like family relationships, parental duties, how to solve problems, and a lot more.
The goal of this series is to restore God's original design for families. The "Blessed Family" series, taken from this portion of the Book of Psalms, clearly identifies the focus, which is on the blessings associated with a family that is devoted to God. This title highlights the benefits of a family that fears and obeys God. This also implies that your family's blessing will be connected to the prosperity of the city.
1 Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him.
A Blessed Family
Birthday Sunday
1 Blessed are all who fear the Lord, who walk in obedience to him.
This highlights the benefits of obeying God, showing it as a route to happiness and rewards rather than hardship. The concept of obedience, which refers to the pleasant, caring, and supporting atmosphere inside a family, including a fruitful wife, children as olive shoots, and a prosperous existence, is the key that unlocks the blessings mentioned.
Other References
Psalm 127:1-2 by faith we allow God to build our family His way. Watching over our family as we walk in obedience to His principles.
This also suggests that while rising early and staying up late to toil for food may seem productive, true rest and blessing come from trusting in God's provision and guidance
Children are gifts and reward from God, they are not just the result of procreation, but a valuable gift from God. They are seen as both an inheritance passed down and a reward for faith and obedience
WEEK 1
A Flourishing Family
Communion Sunday
2 You will eat the fruit of your labor; blessings and prosperity will be yours.
This is a simple and direct emphasis on God’s blessings bestowed upon a family, focusing on prosperity because of a God-centered family. In the Bible, flourishing is defined as a condition of healthy, thriving growth and development, especially about one's relationship with God. An abundant and spiritual life, marked by fruit production and the experience of God's graces, is just as important as bodily well-being.

2. Galatians 6:7-9
This t emphasizes the idea that present actions shape future outcomes. In essence, it highlights the principle of cause and effect. (2 You will eat the fruit of your labor ;)

Exodus 15:13 GW “Lovingly, you will lead the people you have saved.
Powerfully, you will guide them to your holy dwelling.
Meeting God in our lives is nothing new.
The truth is everyone has been through transitions in their lives.
So, the essence of our May series is to deepen our trust in the Lord’s goodness and hope in His unfailing faithfulness as we welcome the reality of life’s transition.
Exodus 15 is a pivotal chapter in the book of Exodus and the whole Bible, as it marks the transition from the deliverance from Egypt to the journey to the promised land.
Chronological Journey of Israelites in the Wilderness
1. Departure from Egypt and the Journey to Mount Sinai:
• Moses led the Israelites out of Egypt, crossing the Red Sea and entering the Sinai Peninsula.
• They camped at Elim, a place with 12 springs.
• In the Wilderness of Sin, God provided manna and quail to sustain them.
• At Rephidim, they fought against Amalek, and Moses struck a rock to provide water.
• The journey culminated at Mount Sinai (also known as Mount Horeb), where God gave the Ten Commandments.
• The people spent a year at Mount Sinai, constructing the Tabernacle.
• The Israelites received the Ten Commandments and established a covenant with God.
• They built the Tabernacle, a portable sanctuary where God would dwell among them.
• Both obedience and rebellion marked this period, as the people sometimes struggled to follow God's commands.
• After leaving Mount Sinai, the Israelites continued their journey, facing various challenges and tests of faith.
• They camped at Kadesh-barnea, where Moses sent spies into the Promised Land, but the people rebelled against entering the land.
• Due to their disobedience, they were forced to wander in the wilderness for 40 years, with only Joshua and Caleb from the original generation surviving to enter the Promised Land.
• The journey also involved avoiding conflicts with Edom and Moab and eventually crossing the Arnon River.
• Finally, they reached the Plains of Moab, where Moses viewed the Promised Land from Mount Nebo before his death.
The main verse for this series is considered by some of the Bible scholars as the oldest oldest song in the world. After having been delivered from great danger, the Israelites sang with joy! The people God has redeemed have confidence for the future. In light of what the Lord had done in rescuing Israel from his enemies, there was no question that he would be able to carry through on his promise to take them safely into the Promised Land. And it gives us essential lesson that can strengthen and motivate us to face life’s transition, no matter how difficult it is.
Two things we can learn from the main verse that will enable us to find and trust God when difficult transition hits us: His love will lead us, and His power will guide us.
When God’s unfailing love and his might are combined, there is no reason to doubt that He will be able to keep his promises. If God had such a character but did not have the might to carry out his good intentions toward his people, his character would be of little value to us. The good news is that He has both a loving character and all power.
At times, transition creates excitement and at times it evokes fear. Most of the time it is challenging and other times, it can be difficult. But be assured in His unfailing love - He will lead you every step of the way. Be confident in His might - He will guide you through the journey.
One of the problems they encountered as the wilderness journey started was the lack of water. With the large number of people and livestock coming out of Egypt (see 12:37–38), the inability to find drinkable water is a significant problem (15:22–23). Also, how their response was a demonstration that they don’t trust God enough, even they have witnessed and experienced His power.
And the same can be true to us all. How easy it is to grumble and complain too quickly, specially when transition becomes distressing. Distressing in a sense that in that transition, extreme worry, sadness, pain, exhaustion, or weakness with strain or trouble, are more obvious that peace, joy, wellness, rest, and strength. When this happens, not only we complain immediately, but we also long for instant gratification and relief.
In contrast to their unbelief, Moses cried to the LORD to deliver the people from their distress. the LORD showed him a log. In response to Moses’ cry for help, the Lord intervenes by causing the
water to become sweet. And this teaches us one important lesson when transition happens: God wants us to run to Him for guidance, comfort, purpose, and understanding.
This time the people, reacting to Moses’ leading them to a waterless site, quarreled with him or laid a charge against him. So intense was their reaction that Moses thought he was about to be stoned. They doubted that God was really with them or cared for them, and they demanded that he prove his presence and care. Again, the people complained about their problem. The trouble with the Israelites was that they had hard hearts that would not submit to the Lord, so they rebelled against His will.
This shows that normally, when are exposed to problems and transition becomes displeasing, and worst are not believing God enough, tthey usually want to do unreasonable things that could only make the situation worse. One should not forget that God uses difficulties to stregnthen our faith and mature our character.
Our verse today suggests two reasons as to why, at times, transition becomes displeasing; our heart is hard toward God, and we would not submit to His guidance and leading. Therefore, believing God when transition becomes displeasing is to understand His heart for us -everything He does is for our good no matter how painful situaton is.
Be encouraged that in this account, despite the people’s extremely negative response to their circumstances, once again the Lord responds graciously for that is who He is.
The whole people and their most senior figures complain about the difficulties of the journey to Canaan; by implication they are also complaining about Moses’ leadership and God’s promises. This pattern matches the problems of the journey from the Red Sea to Sinai.
The Israelites complained, and then Moses complained. But God responded positively to Moses and negatively to the rest of the people. Why? The people complained to one another, and nothing was done. Moses took his complaint to God, who can solve any problem.
Many of us are good at complaining to each other. However, do not make life miserable for others just because things are not going the way you would like. All of us go through trying times and uncomfortable circumstances. Remember that how you choose to respond will affect more people than only yourself. Choose to model a great attitude. Be compassionate, and work to encourage others rather than weighing them down.
More importantly, jutst like Moses, we need to learn to take our problems to the One who can do something about them - and this is what it means to rely on God when transition becomes demanding.

How Do I Know My Life Group is MAKING Disciples?
16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.
17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.
18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality,
20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions,
21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
24 And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.
25 If we live by the Spirit, let us also keep in step with the Spirit.
26 Let us not become conceited, provoking one another, envying one another.

APPETITE -- APRIL 2025 SERIES
What is an appetite and why it is very powerful?
ap·pe·tite | ˈapəˌtīt |
noun
a natural desire to satisfy a bodily need, especially for food. However, it is not just merely about food but other physiological needs. Like obsessions, ambitions, and desires.
Our everyday walk includes satisfying these appetites without us obviously knowing about it. Examples are appetite to be important, appetite to successful, appetite to love and to be loved, appetite for happiness and satisfaction.
These appetites are not necessarily evil, but if it is consumed in a wrong way, it can destroy your life and future.
Take Esau for example. Because of his appetite, he traded his birthright including his inheritance and future.
We should be aware of these appetites so that we will not going to make a wrong trade of our God-given destiny.
We know more about the following:
For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world.
1 John 2:16 NLT
Every creature in this world has a craving. We all have cravings and we crave for different things every single day. Some of us crave for ice cream, pizza or fried chicken. Some of us crave for success and fame. While some of us crave to earn a huge amount of money. Having cravings is not bad at all, in fact they drive us to move, to strive and work in order for us to get those cravings.
But the thing is, what do we crave for? What are the things that we are longing to get or have?
This is the question that we have to ask ourselves. The feeling of “craving” is not bad at all, because we are created that way. It’s natural in us, it’s innate in us. But we must be very careful of what we crave for.
The Bible, is very clear of the cravings that if we are not careful, will lead us to sin and death. These are:
1. The Craving for Physical Pleasure
2. The Craving for Everything we see
3. The Pride in our Achievements and Possessions
Though there are times, that it seems that we are about to give in to our cravings, I have a good news, you can control your cravings! Don’t let your cravings control you, control your cravings for God has given us a spirit of self-control (2 Tim. 1:7)
In this topic, we should evaluate ourselves. Does our cravings lead us to sin, or does our cravings lead us to God? Is the very thing that we crave for make us work to be better or does it lead us to distraction and misery? Does our cravings control us or do we control our cravings?
- Are you satisfied?
Every person in the world wants to know what will make him or her happy. We’re all desperately seeking for the person, place, or thing that will meet our expectations, needs, and wants. What will truly satisfy the desires of our heart?
It is evident now in our society that our desires are unending. Whatever is the trending in the fashion world, the beauty standards, fame or popularity, travel and relationship goals and the list will go on. We want to have it all so that we will be satisfied and would fit-in in the society. But the reality here, when we come to our senses are we satisfied? Are we happy? temporarily yes, but it won't last long.
The Bible is full of glorious promises of satisfaction such as:
A. Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst.” (John 6:35)
B. For he satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul he fills with good things. (Psalm 107:9)
No good thing is withheld from us and all things work together for our good. Living in light of these truths proclaims to a discontent world that Jesus is better than anything the world has to offer. As we look to Jesus to make us truly happy, we also proclaim to a world in need that only Christ can truly satisfy. (Desiring God, 2015)
Week 4
After knowing that what the world offers can never satisfy us, we will never overcome our hunger. However, there is one exception; it is only through God that we can find the satisfaction that we need. The satisfaction we can receive from God can never be given by the world, but can only be found in Jesus.
Take for example the story of the Samaritan woman encountering Jesus. Before she met Jesus at the well, she was looking to be satisfied in the wrong places, until Jesus showed her that He was the life-giving water she needs.
We have to understand that Jesus is the life-giving water that can satisfy and through Him, we can be contented regardless of what the world is offering/serving us.
Jesus is our Satisfaction.

MARCH end times living SERIES 2025
His Life Ministries March 2025 Series
1 Peter 4:7-11 TLB
7 The end of the world is coming soon. Therefore be earnest, thoughtful men of prayer.8 Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love makes up for many of your faults. 9 Cheerfully share your home with those who need a meal or a place to stay for the night.
10 God has given each of you some special abilities; be sure to use them to help each other, passing on to others God’s many kinds of blessings. 11 Are you called to preach? Then preach as though God himself were speaking through you. Are you called to help others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies so that God will be glorified through Jesus Christ—to him be glory and power forever and ever. Amen.
SERIES OVERVIEW
Global events like climate change, political chaos, more natural disasters, economic problems, a loss of morals, and other things show that things have become more difficult. You might wonder, "Are we getting close to the end?" For those who believe the end is near, how should they live? For this matter, our March series is entitled END-TIMES LIVING.
The context of these verses is that Peter wrote this passage to highlight how to live and be committed as Christian Bible Believers as we await the coming of the Lord anytime. Despite the sufferings and tribulations that they are experiencing in following Christ, they will stay committed and have the attitude to be faithful in prayer, love, and acts of service. This shows the unwavering commitment of a believer or follower of Christ to endure and obey Him until the day of His return.
WEEKLY TOPIC | SYNOPSIS | EMPHASIS
Peter is writing to Christians who suffer for Jesus' sake and those who have taken on Christ's attitude that hardships for God's cause are part of our purpose as His people. He now offers a perspective that is both encouraging and a warning: It's almost over.
So, living in the light of the end gives us the mindset and attitude of how we live our lives in awaiting our coming Savior and King—Lord Jesus Christ. We genuinely live for Christ in our prayer life, in how we love and respond to one another amid persecutions and sufferings, and in serving God with an unwavering commitment and faithfulness.
Peter reminds all Christian believers to live obediently and expectantly in the light of Christ's return. He also reminds us that Christ's return could be any moment, so we must maintain a proper eternal perspective and pursue holiness in all we do.
Peter writes that the end of all things is near or "draws near." Everything necessary for history to come to an end has already happened. Messiah has come, lived, died (1 Peter 3:18), been resurrected (1 Peter 3:21), and ascended back to His Father where He reigns now over the universe (1 Peter 3:22) and is ready right now to judge all who live and have ever lived (1 Peter 4:5). Along with the other New Testament writers, Peter affirms that we are now living in the last days or end times. So, what is the proper response to this awareness that the end of all things is near? Panic? Isolation? Indulgence in pleasure-seeking?
According to the previous verse, loving one another is also the right thing to do when you know that the end is almost here. Believers should strengthen their bonds with one another because the Day of the Lord could arrive at any moment. As a reflection of God's grace and a means to overcome shortcomings and build unity within the church, these verses also stress the significance of Christians actively and deeply loving one another, displaying this love through hospitality and service, particularly during difficult times.
Therefore, to live with deep and constant love means to forgive, overlook past hurts, and build each other up when we fall. Living with a deep and constant love for others also testifies that one is living in the light of the future.
March 23, 2025 | Week Three | Facility Sunday
Topic: END-TIMES LIVING:
So, sincerity to serve overflows from a heart that understands love and understands that the use of our spiritual gifts is not to gain recognition for ourselves but to bless God’s people. By having this attitude, God is glorified.
