FROM EASY TO READ VERSION
God Has Spoken Through His Son
1 In the past God spoke to our people through the prophets. He spoke to them many times and in many different ways.
2 And now in these last days, God has spoken to us again through his Son. He made the whole world through his Son. And he has chosen his Son to have all things.
3 The Son shows the glory of God. He is a perfect copy of God’s nature, and he holds everything together by his powerful command. The Son made people clean from their sins. Then he sat down at the right side[a] of God, the Great One in heaven.
FROM ESV
1Long ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets,
2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.
3 He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
FROM NIV
1 In the past God spoke to our ancestors through the prophets at many times and in various ways,
2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the universe.
3 The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word. After he had provided purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty in heaven.

The miracle of the message lies in God's
🟢ultimate 🟢revelation through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Hebrews 1:1-3 highlights the shift from how God
🟢previously spoke through various prophets and methods to how
🟢He now speaks directly through His Son.
The Greek term charakter, meaning "exact imprint," reveals that Jesus is the perfect representation of God's nature.
Delivered In the Old Testament, God's revelations were
🟢partial and
🟢scattered through visions, commandments, and prophetic voices.
But in Jesus, the message is 🟢whole and
🟢deeply personal.
He is not just a bearer of God's Word;
He is the Word made flesh (John 1:14).
Through Him, God proclaims grace, truth, and the promise of redemption to all who believe.
The message was spoken through His Son.
The message is 🟢grace and the 🟢truth alone.
🟢EXPOUND ON THE POWER OF TRUTH.
The message brings transformation.
END RESULT.
TRANSFORMATION.
RESTORATION.

To apply Hebrews 1:1-3,
recognize Jesus as God's ultimate revelation, not just a prophet,
understand His divine nature (radiance of God's glory, exact imprint of His being),
see Him as the Creator and Sustainer of the universe,
and apply this
by trusting Him,
glorifying God through Him,
seeking His guidance as the final Word,
and realizing your purpose is found in Him, not worldly things.
It calls you to worship the superior Son, not lesser things like angels, and live with heavenly purpose.
PRACTICAL STEPS
- Meditate on His Identity: Study the Old Testament references to understand the depth of who Jesus is (Creator, Heir, etc.).
- Prioritize His Voice: Make time to hear God's voice through Jesus (Scripture) over worldly voices.
- Live for Him: Glorify God and serve others, as your life's purpose is rooted in Him, the Sustainer.
- Don't Compromise: Guard against messages that diminish Jesus's unique role or nature.

SMALL GROUP DISCUSSION
Hebrews 1:1-3 is a cornerstone of the New Testament, establishing the supremacy of Jesus Christ.
For a small group discussion in 2025, these verses provide a rich foundation for exploring the nature of God's final revelation through His Son.
Overview of Hebrews 1:1-3
The passage contrasts how God spoke in the past (through prophets) with how He speaks now (through His Son). It presents seven "glories" of Jesus Christ that demonstrate His divine nature and authority.
Key Discussion Themes
The Final Word (v. 1-2):
Discuss the shift from "many times and in various ways" to the singular, final revelation in Jesus.
The Seven Descriptions of Christ:
- Heir of all things: Everything in existence belongs to Him.
- Creator: The universe was made through Him.
- Radiance of God’s glory: He is the "shining reflection" of God's own glory.
- Exact representation of His being: To see Jesus is to see the Father's true nature.
- Sustainer: He upholds the universe by His powerful word.
- Purifier of sins: He provided the ultimate cleansing through His sacrifice.
- Seated at the Right Hand: His work is finished, and He holds the position of supreme authority.
Small Group Discussion Questions
Observation:
List the seven descriptions of Jesus in verses 2-3.
Which one is most impactful to you today?
Comparison:
How does Jesus being the "final word" change how we view other forms of "revelation" like dreams, feelings, or contemporary teaching?
Theology:
What does "exact representation" (v. 3) tell us about what God is actually like?
Application:
If Jesus "upholds all things by the word of His power," how should that comfort us in times of personal or global uncertainty in 2026?
Finished Work:
The passage says Jesus "sat down" after making purification for sins. How does this contrast with the ongoing work of Old Testament priests, and what does it mean for our security in salvation?

Title:
PRAY
SEE
STRIVE
Looking back at 2025, it’s clear that it was a challenging year for many people, especially in the Philippines.
National issues and controversies affected daily life, and many of us faced our own personal challenges plus Nature's storms, winds and shakings.
However, these struggles also made us stronger and more resilient.
Now, as we look forward to 2026, we are filled with hope for a brighter future—one that offers new opportunities and chances to be productive.
Through everything we’ve been through, we’ve learned that setting goals and making plans is crucial for getting what we want in life. It’s essential to take time to think about our desires, acknowledge the challenges we’ll face, and outline clear steps to achieve our goals.
By doing this, we can make the most of our time and resources, staying determined and focused even when things get difficult. While it’s vital to maintain a positive outlook, we must also remember the importance of prayer. We should never underestimate the importance of seeking Divine guidance and clarity from the Lord before taking any actions.
And so, as we get ready to welcome 2026, let’s commit to starting the year with prayer.
We should pray not only for success but also for the grace to handle that success with humility.
Let’s seek opportunities that help us grow as individuals, not just for financial success but also for contentment and a spirit of generosity.
As we strive for a better society let’s also focus on becoming better versions of ourselves.
And this means being humble and open to the guidance and support we receive, first and foremost, from the Lord and from others.
We should advocate for fairness and be examples of kindness and compassion in our actions, not just our words.
Entering a new year gives us a chance to work on essential qualities that help us grow.
While the year will bring opportunities for success, it will also present challenges that test our strength. By embracing these qualities, we demonstrate maturity and a deeper understanding of life by realizing that what truly matters is not what we possess but who we are becoming as individuals.
Let’s work together to make the upcoming year one filled with growth and meaningful achievements.
